The Sam Spade game is a detective game whereby you the player
become Sam Spade, the cheap private detective. Your mission
is to solve a case by visiting a number of places around town
as shown by the map displayed on your screen. You are given
a set amount of money and have a certain amount of time to
solve the case.
The file SAMSPADE.ARC includes the following files.
SAMSPADE.EXE is the actual game.
It is set up for a color monitor but can be
used on a monochrome one.
SAMCASE1.FIL is case number 1. The game will eventually run
a number of different cases but this
pre-release version is only set up for one.
SAMSPADE.DOC This information file.
If you distribute this version, please keep all three files
together, in fact, distributing the ARC file that they came
in will make it easier.
This game is a pre-release version that is currently in Beta
site testing. I have decided to make it available for a
number of reasons. One being that the more people that test
it, the better the end result will be. Also it gives me a
chance to really see how people like it and whether or not it
would sell. Even if you don't send a contribution in for
this, please drop me a line and tell me what you think. I am
always looking for new ideas and opinions.
I can be reached at 317-283-7735 and through the
Indianapolis IBM PC Users Group Bulletin Board system at

Thank you and enjoy. Robert Sanborn
